Encore Community Theatre is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing quality theatre. Our mission has evolved to showcase local talent of all ages.

Encore began 30 years ago as a summer youth theatre program for teens, intending to educate youth on the complex world of drama and theatre. Our program has provided a space for the youth of our community to express their talents and to integrate with their peers from other surrounding schools. Students rehearsed tirelessly through the summer, gaining knowledge from various directors, vocal coaches, and choreographers, to showcase the final production with a live orchestra, to sold-out audiences. 

Fifteen years ago, Encore expanded the program to include younger students from local elementary schools.  This allowed us to get a head start on achieving our goals for Encore as our performers had the opportunity to begin their theatre journey at a younger age while learning and growing with our team and their peers.

Encore has evolved and is expanding to showcase adults, teens, children, and families in our summer productions while maintaining our emphasis on educating the youth. This will allow for an environment where younger actors can learn not only from their peers but from more seasoned adults, who have the skills from performing both professionally and locally.
